Ballard Park Electricity Outage Scheduled for August 15–26 Amidst Ongoing Improvements |
Park remains open; certain amenities affected during construction period |
Ballard Park is set to undergo a temporary electricity shutdown from August 15 through August 26 as part of the ongoing bathroom construction project. Power is expected to be fully restored by August 27.
During this period, the park will remain accessible to the public. However, visitors should note that lighting on the basketball courts, tennis courts, and pavilions will be non-operational. Additionally, electrical outlets within the pavilions will be out of service.
We understand that this may cause inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to enhance the park's facilities.
Despite the temporary power outage, Ballard Park continues to host a variety of community events throughout August. On August 14, the park will feature the "Touch A Truck!" event, offering children the opportunity to explore various vehicles and engage in interactive activities. This event is part of the Ballard Blast series, which has been a summer staple, providing weekly community gatherings with games, crafts, and more.
Additionally, the Ballard Commons Park, located nearby, will host a screening of "Wonka" on August 15 at 7:30 PM as part of the Center City Cinema series. Food trucks will be available on-site, making it a perfect evening for families and friends to enjoy an outdoor movie experience.
For those interested in arts and culture, the Ballard P-Patch will hold its annual "Art in the Garden" event on August 2. Attendees can explore local art, enjoy live music, and participate in various activities suitable for all ages.
We encourage visitors to plan accordingly during the electricity outage and take advantage of the numerous events and activities available in and around Ballard Park. Your understanding and support are greatly appreciated as we strive to improve our community spaces. |
